Rumour has it, Silvia S16 is on its Way!

September 25, 2016 0
Nissan Silvia's fans are increasingly growing and what else would we expect considering the impressive aftermarket support the Nissan rwd cars received. Nissan Silvia S16 is maybe one of the most expected sports car nowadays. But the good news are that renowned brand like Nissan will not disappoint its fans. On a special press conference it was reported that Nissan is working on a new rear wheel drive sports car. A new and improved Nissan Silvia S16 is on its way.

Performance Specifications

To help the Nissan Silvia S16 achieve a desired effect with the performance there are two engine options offered. The new Silvia is expected to be more niche-specific, with enhanced design and 2.0l engine that while resembling the VQ has improved efficiency that translates to the impressive 217lb per ft torque and over 200bhp.

In one of its publications Nissan says that rear wheel drive sports car with front seated sports engine has been built by the best engineers from Nissan and Renault. The Japanese automotive giant paid attention to the details, especially the torque. From Nissan bets that the new Silvia S16 will be а worthy rival of top coupes leaders in the class like Subaru BRZ, Scion Fr-S and Toyota GT86, something more the company is sure that the new sports auto will be faster than its rivals in 0-60 mph sprint.

The second engine option is a 1.8 liter Mercedes engine which makes 156 horsepower and about 180 lb.–ft. of torque at 4200 rpm. Based on the needed characteristics you can make your pick about the engine but as both engine options have their advantages.

Nissan Silvia S16 Exterior

There is no doubt that the looks of the 2017 Nissan Silvia S16 are going to be spectacular. The car has made some waves in terms of it being spectacularly designed already and if we were to base our expectations on the concept, it definitely will be in the list with the best looking coupes. The end product has still not arrived yet, but based on the current announcements and the details revealed the car is going to focus a lot on its bodywork in order to come up with a spectacular outcome. The currently released photos give us a shape which is eye-catching and appealing. With an aggressive body frame and some very interesting add-ons the vehicle is going to make it big.

Nissan Silvia S16 Interior

The initial announcements say that the 2016 Nissan Silvia S16 is going to be a 5 seat sports car. It is going to come with a large interior upgrade which will mostly be based on the luxury specter of the car. This means that the people inside are supposed to feel as comfortable as they possibly can with the added additions. It will use the standard set of gadgets that are found in any current Nissan car. So navigation and Bluetooth connectivity is something that makes it inside immediately. There are many rumors on what else might be used but the final decision has not been revealed yet so we expect a bunch of standard additions as well for some styling optional one to be added.

As this is aimed to be a luxury car, the comfort levels are going to be set using some luxury and elegant materials inside. The previous Silvia was a very comfy vehicle and it did have a comfortable setting on the inside, so we expect it to be doubled from before. We will have to wait and see what the end product is going to look like as pictures and specs about the interior have yet to be released.

Predictions based on what we know so far

The new Nissan Silvia S16 is smaller, yet stronger and more efficient from its predecessor ( Nissan Silvia S12, Nissan Silvia s13, Nissan Silvia s14, Nissan Silvia s15). While we are yet to discover the official pricing and releasing date of S16 Nissan, specialists have estimated that the price would be around $26,000 and that the car will be ready for us to test-drive near the end of summer 2018. If the rumours become true this will be a very good price for a rear wheel drive sports car, especially if we talk about the Nissan Silvia S16 .

Paul Walker Crash ...

September 24, 2016 0

Michelle Rodriguez says a remark she made about being "jealous" of her late Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker for dying before she did was taken "out of context". She added she was "sorry" that the comment had been used to promote a new documentary and would not have taken part in the filming if she had known how it would be used. "That's the people from the documentary using things out of context. I had a deep moment and I said something that, you know, was personal," she said. "It was exploited and I apologise about that, but if I knew it was being promoted that way, I wouldn't have been involved." In The Reality of Truth, the 37-year-old actress drinks a psychedelic brew as part of a traditional Peruvian spiritual ceremony before speaking about Walker, who died in a car accident in November 2013.

‘Fast & Furious 8’ Vin Diesel Just Confirmed that He Wants Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor Back in the Film!

September 24, 2016 0

Since the release of “Fast & Furious 7” last year, talks have been circulating about the participation of Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor in the upcoming eighth installment of the action-ensemble franchise.

It has been said then that “Fast & Furious 7” is the last for Paul Walker and his Brian O’Connor character in the movie franchise. In fact, towards the end of the movie, the producers and Vin Diesel’s Dominic Torreto have sent off the character very well through that touching “One Last Ride” scene at the end film’s end.

Vin Diesel even said as a producer that “Fast & Furious 7” was the last for Paul Walker and the next sequel would be in his honor.

Paul Walker met his demise in a road accident along with his friend Roger Rodas in November 2013. He was still in the middle of filming “Fast & Furious 7” back then so the producers asked his brothers Cody and Caleb to stand in for the movie on behalf of their brother. With the help of CGI and the brothers, the movie was able to recreate Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor in the film and completed it without even killing off his character.

It seems that Vin Diesel might have indirectly confirmed that Brian O’Connor shall be returning to “Fast & Furious 8” when Cody and Caleb Walkers recently confirmed that the action star has called them up to inform them of their late brother’s participation in the movie, reports the Morning Ledger.
Cody disclosed that Universal Pictures wants to make sure that they would be respectful of Paul and his image, as well as his family.

He added that he had a phone call with Vin for about an hour and they discussed the matter. He said that the “The Last Witch Hunter” actor wanted permission and if it would be acceptable again to the Walker family if they could bring back Paul’s character in the next film and just let his fans know that he is still out there.
Trusted his vision for the franchise
In a recent posting on his Facebook and Instagram accounts, Vin Diesel reiterated that “Fast & Furious 8” would begin a new trilogy that would culminate the franchise all together up to “Fast & Furious 10.”

He expressed his gratitude to Universal Pictures for being so good to him and for trusting his vision, adding that they have been like family.
Diesel promised the studio after “Fast & Furious 7” last year that he would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga.
There were previous speculations that Vin Diesel would step up and direct the sequel but it soon became official that F. Gary Gray has signed up to take on the role. While Gray has never helmed a “Fast & Furious” film before, he has a few tough thrillers on his resume including the all-famous “Italian Job” film, details Blasting News.

The feud to hype up the film
Filming for “Fast & Furious 8” is already completed and most of the things going on about the film on the internet are the rumored feud between lead star Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who play Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs, respectively, in the successful film franchise.

Initially, there was a big news of the supposed feud especially when The Rock started ranting on his Twitter account and saying that some of the cast members are candy asses, one of his quotable quotes as a former and occasional wrestler of the World Wresting Entertainment (WWE).
Eventually, reports came out that the feud was being set up so that The Rock and Vin Diesel would end up in a wrestling match in WWE’s WrestleMania 33 to be held in April next year at the Orlando Citrus Bowl in Florida, a few days before the official showing of “Fast & Furious 8” on April 14, 2017.

What seems to have been overlooked by the ‘feud’ rumors is the casting of Scott Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood, in the movie to play the role of a character who works alongside Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody.
Scott posted an emotional tribute to the late Paul Walker after his casting was announced a few months ago by saying that he and Paul were close friends for years.
It is not clear though if his role is good only for “Fast 8” or his character would extend up to the next two films of the final trilogy for the franchise.
In a recent interview, Vin Diesel also confirmed that that “Fast & Furious 9” will hit cinemas on April 19, 2019, and “Fast & Furious 10” is set to make its debut on April 2, 2021.
The final dates actually sort of confirmed that everything’s well between Vin Diesel and The Rock and whether they push through with their plan to have a match at WrestleMania 33 to further hype up “Fast 8” or not remains to be seen.

2018 Honda Civic Type R Specs & Price

September 24, 2016 0
The Honda Civic Type R is the highest performance version of the Honda Civic made by Honda Motor Company of Japan. It features a lightened and stiffened body, specially tuned engine and upgraded brakes and chassis.
Red is also used in the interior to give it a special sporting distinction and to separate it from other Honda models. This is something that all of us Honda enthusiasts know, but what is less known is that with this 2018 Honda Civic Type R is trying to get back at US markets with a real performance car which is indeed necessary.

Bringing the 2018 Honda Civic Type R should push forward resurrection of the brand’s credibility with enthusiasts, and bring more excitement to a model that has grown too “boring” and conservative, but let`s take a look of the Civic Type R specs.

2018 Honda Civic Type R Exterior design

Outside of the new Civic Type R will have a hatch car look, while the rest of 10th gen honda civic family will traditionally be offered as four-door-sedan and two-door-coupe body style.

With this Honda is trying to attack a few markets with the one car, and the targeted rivals will probably be Ford Focus RS, Subaru WRX STI and Volkswagen Golf R. The 2018 Honda Civic Type R will have some similarities to its previous version but it will get slightly updated in the segment of front fender vents, dual lip spoilers, front bumper air curtains, side skirts and rear spoiler, front and back lighting.

One more characteristic of the new Type R Civic will be a triple exhaust tips mounted at the center of the rear bumper together with a more aggressive posture. The wheels will get bigger, measuring 19 inches and inside each of these will host a Brembo brake caliper which encourages us to expect the final version to come with 4 piston calipers and probably 13.7 inch discs at the front.

2018 Honda Civic Type R Interior Redesign

Interior of the 10th gen Type R will resemble the new generation cool Honda Civic model but with recognizable sporty red interior with a lot of carbon fiber and aluminum inserts rounded with sporty bucket seats that offer safety and comfort divided equally, as well as a good driving position. What we believe will be robbed of the 2015 Civic Type R , which still has not seen the light of US market, are the digital read-out, which was high up in line of sight in 2015 civic model but will probably be toned down for 2018 model, then a bunch of dials that will probably be of the current Civic, large touchscreen in the center console and separate heating display.

All this will be well rounded and packed into this performance vehicle that yet has to wow eagerly waiting Americans. 2018 Honda Civic Type R interior Engine and specs Engine fitted into this vehicle is already known and it will be a 2.0 L, 4 cylinder with direct fuel injection, turbo-charging and VTEC variable valve timing.
The Honda Civic horsepower should be close to 305 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque, which is found in the current Type R sold overseas, and all of that power will be delivered to front tires via six speed manual transmission.

Torque steer will be suppressed by a new “Dual Axis Strut Front Suspension” and adaptive dampers all around.
Also aiding the handling are the numerous body enhancements aimed at producing more downforce. Fuel consumption is allegedly reduced, but who will worry about a that when you can press the pedal to the metal and smile all the way around your local track.

2018 Civic Type R release Date and Price

As far as release date goes we believe that the 2018 Civic Honda Type R won’t be here for a good year after the launch of the standard Civic, as it was before, so we believe that it will be introduced in the first quarter of 2017 as a 2018 model. 2018 Honda Civic Type R Price will be around $32.000 and will probably not cross $38.000 – $39.000mark will everything top-notch fitted.

VR38 Engine Drives This INSANE Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R “ERUBISU”! Getting The 4WD To Work And Some WILD DYNO LAUNCHES!!!

September 23, 2016 0

Today we are bringing you one very special Nissan R34 Skyline powered by a VR38 engine. The team behind this project was gathering the needed parts to improve the performance of the car and put the 4wd in working condition. Ultimately they were preparing the GTR beast for the Dyno track and next they will set it free on the wild roads. For some time the team was gathering new parts like oil cooler for the gearbox, new improved drive shafts on the front and few other performance parts which will add more power to the car. The good thing here is that the whole process is caught on the video so you will see how each part is taking place on the Nissan Skyline R34. The biggest challenge of the team was to revive the 4wd to perfect state. After the new front drive shafts took place and the transmission cooler was hooked up with the gearbox the moment of true arrived. They lifted the car and started the engine, while one member of the team was inside to shift gears. While lifting the Nissan R34 Skyline “Erubiso” with the new drive shafts spin all of the four wheels. The next challenge was to test it on the road. In our opinion the 4wd system was working smoothly and nice but the team decided to test it on a precision Dyno track to see if there are any speed differences between the wheels. Appeared that the team was right because on the Dyno were measured 2km/h difference in the speed. They also needed to fix the boost and few other things which took him only an hour. After that, the final result of this VR38 powered Nissan R34 Skyline was 620 all wheel horsepower! Sounds like a tempting number, doesn’t it? Take a look on the video below and tell us what do you think.

8 Facts you Must know about the Skyline GTR as a True Fan

September 23, 2016 0

8. The Godzilla Nickname

The most popular nickname for Skyline GT-R is “Godzilla”. This Nickname firstly appeared in 1990 when the Nissan R32 GTR took part in Australian touring car championship. By the end of it`s first season the R32 managed to knock the Ford Sierra of the podium, which it held for a considerable amount of time. The media begun calling the newly introduced Nissan “The Godzilla” because of its Japanese origin and its immense power, and since then, “Godzilla” is associated with every gt-r badged car.

7. Cheating on horsepower

During the 90`s, (r32 1989) there was an agreement between manufacturers, that limited the horsepower output of every car to a maximum 276HP. However the Rb26 was found in the Nissan R32 GTR, Nissan R33 GTR and Nissan R34 GTR. The legendary engine was designed for a much higher power output than that. Nissan advertised all GT-Rs as having 276HP, but when the first cars rolled off the production line and people starting hitting the dyno, everyone was surprised to see that at factory stock form, the Rb26 was making 330+ HP.

6. The Nissan GT-R R35 is not a Skyline

Probably most of you guys know this, but we feel obligated to say it. Although the Nissan GT-R (R35) is the official successor of the R34 Skyline, Nissan had stated in the R35 release event, that they have cut out the “skyline” name and that from now on the new car is going to be called simply Nissan GT-R.

5. The first Skyline was not a Nissan, it was Datsun

The First Skyline was made by Prince Motors, Japanese automobile manufacturer, which was founded in 1955. Prince Motors designed the first 2 generations of the Skyline. Later the production was given to Datsun, which produced the first GT-R Skyline and then the Japanese automobile brand was renamed to Nissan.

4. Nissan Skyline Z Tune

In the celebration of the Nismo anniversary, Nissan gave approval to Nismo to build a special version of the R34 called the "Z-Tune". Then Nismo purchased twenty used R34 GTR V-spec each with less than 30 000 km on the clock. The cars were completely striped and resprayed to a special "z-color". Then they received the 2.8L RB28DETT engine. Which was revised to reach 8,000 rpm and it was paired with twin turbos and other minor upgrades. The power output jump instantly. Nismo produced 500 hp car, but decided to stop there, mainly for warranty reasons. This car, Nissan skyline Z tune was the fastest Nissan car at that time.

3. The Hakosuka Name

The first Skyline marked as “GT-R” was code named the “C10” and was introduced in 1969. It is referred to as the “Hakosuka”, “Hako” stands for “BOX” in Japanese and “Suka” is short for Skyline. It was given that name due to its beautiful boxy design. During the 70s many people were impressed how beautiful and fast Nissan was.

2. How the GT-R Returned

In 1990 Nissan needed a new vehicle to complete in a group a racing championship. Due to the group rules, all participating cars must be existing, road legal models. Since the last GT-R model was out of production for 16 years at that time, Nissan decided to bring back the Skyline with Nissan R32 GTR. The newly introduced Skyline managed to win every championship it entered for the firsts year and become an icon because if its amazing driving behavior and distinctive body shape. It also brought us the RB26 engine that was used up until the GT-R R34.

1. Returning after a while

In 1992 Jim Richards, managed to win the 12h buthurst race behind the wheel of the R32. However none of the future Skyline's managed to win this race again. It took twenty three years to Nissan to be back at the podium, when the Nissan Gtr R35 managed to win the 2015 12h buthurst event.

Honda will produce S2000 v2.0

September 23, 2016 0
Honda is re-entering in the sport car market !In this Team Imports exclusive, we give you a detailed look at what an all-new Honda S2000 would entail.

Here are five bad habits you may all fall into while driving a manual transmission vehicle. Behind the scene there are a lot of things happening while you are operating a manual that you may not be thinking about if you don't fully understand how they work.

So we are going to get into those bad habits and try to explain why exactly you don't want to do them!

1. Don't use the gear leaver as a hand-rest

You have to understand what's happening within the transmission. Using your gearshift as a hand-rest can cause premature wear of the trans-axle shift forks. What's happening is you are having a static component(gear forks) pressing against a rotating component.

2. Do not hold your car in gear while on a stop light!

Leaving your car into neutral when coming to a stop light will save you a lot of trouble. If the car is in gear with clutch pressed, premature wear of the throw bearing which is going to be pressing against the diaphragm spring will occur. And the again, typing gear shift linkage repair cost in google will be necessary.

3.Never use your clutch to hold yourself on a hill.

Reason- you will be burning the friction material (ferodo) on the clutch disk. The clutch disk is relatively expensive and hard to replace depending on the model of the vehicle.

4.If you are in high gear and low RPM don't apply much throttle.

The engine has a huge gear disadvantage so flooring it will lug it. Lugging an engine is like hammering the engine parts with every single explosion in a cylinder. It racks on the rod bearing/journals, makes the pistons slap to the side of the cylinders hard, and if it's done enough times, it could probably break the piston rings. It also creates a hammer effect all the way through the drivetrain. It's not good for your the gearbox or the clutch. There are springs in the friction disk (of the clutch) which take up some of this hammering, but they will only take so much before they wear out as well. This causes premature wear all the way around. It's not like it will wear out tomorrow, but it will cause wear over time. If you want your car to last a while, you don't want to be doing this.
!!! It's much better to drop a gear or even miss one, it's all ok if you can revmatch.

5.Don't rest your foot on the clutch when you are driving on the highway!

This seems pretty obvious and simple. Resting your foot on the clutch pedal means you clutch is not fully engage, so there can be a little slim. This means you are not. Pulling down full power which will lead to higher fuel consumption. You are wearing down your clutch and again you are also wearing your throw bearing...
One extra - it's not a good practice to switch from high gear to low gear without evening out the RPM, if you only rely on the clutch to match the engine rpm with the speed of the car, it will surely wear out much earlier. So remember, it doesn't matter if you drive a  hatchback, a sedan, or an suv , a proper usage of the gearbox will insure it's longevity!

FAST AND FURİOUS 8: PAUL WALKER’S BROTHER CODY WALKER WİLL PLAY A NEW ROLE?

September 22, 2016 0

In addition to returning to stand in for his brother, Paul, if needed in the new Fast and Furious 8 movie, word has it that Cody Walker’s face will also be making an appearance in the new movie. According to the latest gossip news updates, both Universal and Vin Diesel have been thinking about adding a new role just for Cody, now that they’ve sent his brother’s character, Brian O’Conner into semi-retirement on the show.
Franchise staple, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently explained that the entire cast and crew are looking forward to returning for the new, New York centric action flick, but a lot of other decisions have to be made before they are anywhere near ready to begin filming.
Although Cody Walker seemed more than happy to help cement his brother Paul’s legacy in Hollywood by helping Universal finish the now record breaking Fast and Furious 7 following his tragic death in a fiery car crash late 2013, it’s now being rumored that Cody may be getting his very own part in the New York City set Fast 8.
“There is talk of Walker’s younger brother Cody being given the part of a new character in the film.
“Cody has expressed his interest in being associated with the franchise and would be up for a role if offered on in Fast and Furious 8.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently explained that he too is very excited to return to the franchise, as is the rest of the cast and crew, but understands that Universal is still a long ways off from setting anything down in stone just yet:
“Of course. It can’t go on without [my character] Hobbs…We all are interested in it.
“I just had a big conversation with the studio. So we’ll see.
“I still think for me personally we’ve created a little bit of space for him in 7 and the gauge is set for what the audience will want.
“That’s my take on it, you know, but a lot of other people have to have input.”
After making more than any other movie in the history of cinema save for Avatar and Titanic with Furious 7, Universal can definitely afford to wire all the actors they need going in Fast 8, so perhaps they will just hire everyone.

Eight Cars Mods That Don't Really Works

September 22, 2016 0
In the automobile world it’s way too often that you get involved in a discussion about mods work, arguing which mods work and which ones don’t. While for some certain modifications might be purely trash, others might argue that that had helped them increase their HP with 25%. And right because it’s so difficult to agree on which mods are worth it – below you can find a list of the ones that you should at all times avoid. This is definitely the right if you want to be withing the best modified cars .

1. Cheap Remaps/Tunes

The easiest way to enhance your vehicle performance is through chip tuning and engine remaps. Rather than going for the high-quality option, people tend to go for cheaper alternatives (ecu online). Some people decide to invest money in modify programs, which still not the best way if you don't know how to use it. Online you could stumble upon thousands of con artists who promote their plug in chips as the most effective ones for achieving great horsepower gains. All you need to do, they say, is plug their product in the OBD2 port or physically swap out one of the chips in the ECU.

The final result won’t be better performance, but in most cases – just a new lightening bulb to trick you that your car is working better. If you’re going for such mod – do it the right and visit a mapping specialist, who will determine what’s the best level your car should be tuned to. While you’d invest more, you’d also be getting much more in return.

2. Short Ram Intake

Doesn't matter what type of cars you want to modify, cheap, expensive or even some luxury cars, you have to know that the engine lives on air and fuel; two things that have to be mixed together effectively for it to function perfectly well. If you aim for more power, what you need is colder and denser air into the engine in order to get the bang you’re expecting. There is no such thing as best car to modify.

It’s a common misconception that a short ram intake would enhance car peformance. However, you won’t be able to achieve anything constructive by shortening the distance that the air needs to get from the intake and the engine. Why? Because the intake will be much closer to the burning hot engine.

Our advice? Go for a cold-air intake, positioned farer away from the engine. This will ensure that the air remains colder and thus the power gets enhanced, relatively, of course, as the benefits of any intake alterations won’t be that massive.

3. Big Wings

Similarly to the body kits, a well-made rear wing gives more grip when cornering and stability on the road, as it pushes the rear of the car into the ground. It’s a common misconception that the wings are suitable solely rwd sports cars as, in fact, they can also improve the stability on fwd sports cars too.

However, this doesn’t apply for your streetcar, as a big wing is nothing but a pain for the eye. If you’re opting for better appearance, choose a lip or smaller spoiler, as none of these additives (and especially not the rear wing) could help you cut seconds off your lap time. You should be careful when you mod your car.

4. Bodykits

While its very unlikely that you would be pushing to the limits a standard vehicle, or cornering hard enough – aerodynamics come into major effect when we talk fast rides.
Awd, fwd or rwd - aerodynamics ensure that the car stays grounded when cornering and stable on the road when you’re driving at a crazy high speed. The body kit of the fast cars plays an essential role for facilitating the car to more effectively cut through the air and let the car remain stable on the ground.
Interestingly, it’s exactly those drivers with not so impressive cars that keep on putting full race inspired bodykits in the imaginary pursuit that their car would manage to look on par with sports cars that are proven to be fast – which rather than improving, deteriorate the vehicle performance, as they increase weight and sometimes even the drag of the car. So, in case you’re opting for achieving better speed - we are talking no body kits on your car.

5. Huge exhaust tips

A full exhaust system is essential for getting rid of the waste gasses and freeing more power for your engine to smoothly operate. This could be achieved in two ways – by reducing the amount of restrictions (mufflers and catalytic converters), or by increasing the diameter of the system, which will help you manage backpressure better.
However, an enormous exhaust tip at the end of a stock exhaust system won’t do much in regards to power, unless you have ameliorated the efficiency of the rest of the system too.

6. Premium fuel

There is a never-ending debate surrounding the benefits of the premium fuel. According to some it has great benefits to mod your car, while others claim that it’s just a trick that the oil producers use to earn more money from the oblivious consumer.
The truth is that premium fuel has almost no effect on everyday cars and is something that only high performance cars needs, due to its less impurities, the quality of fuel will remain good over time. If you’re not a sports car owner yourself, however, you’d better stick to the regular fuel and invest your money in more effective performance mods.

7. Big wheels

If you want to change the looks of your car and presence on the road – getting a new set of wheels will help you immediately achieve that. However, the wider and thicker wheels won’t enhance your car performance, but only increase you car’s weight. insane cars
Plus, the wider wheels create more friction, which while beneficial in terms of cornering, will take a lot from you in terms of speed when driving straight. What you need to do in order to enhance your car’s performance is buy a set of wheels and tyres that are suitable for your car.

8. Badging

And now let’s get down ‘Lala’ Land road. By adding an M43 badge to your stock 320d, you won’t be getting either the performance or the respect that the real version has. And come on – do you think you are tricking anyone but yourself that you’re in fact behind the wheel of the special edition?
